SAINT PABLO.

Last night I attended Kanye West's Saint Pablo concert at Joe Louis Arena. One of the best concerts I've ever attended and the floor area was the perfect experience. I didn't try to bring my camera in because I didn't want to risk being turned down so all photos were taken on my iPhone 6S. Ye performed all his hits and the energy level form the crowd was on 10 from beginning to end, especially in the mosh pit. The light production and the stage set up was next level. All in all I had a great time and even lost my voice lol. Check a few photos I captured from the floor. Can't wait to attend the Ye concert!

SHUMP CAMP - SINT MAARTEN

While out in St. Maarten, Fred and I visually documented Iman Shumpert's 4th Annual Basketball Clinic on the island. It was great to interact with the kids and see the excitement on their faces when Shump arrived to the clinic. Can't wait until I visit the island and document the clinic again next year. Check the video we put together below and some photos I took at the clinic. Music provided by my brother Louis "BO404" Jackson.

LA FLAME!

Friday night Travis Scott performed at Detroit's Russell Industrial Center. He just dropped his sophomore album Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight last week and it's been on constant repeat since. So I was hype to see him perform almost every song off the album. This was my first time seeing him in concert and all I can say is energy! From start to finish. I even lost my voice from rapping almost every song, lol. Check out the some photos I captured from the show!

IMAN SHUMPERT - #WHATCANTHEYSAYNOW

While in St. Maarten myself and Fred directed, shot, and edited a short commercial for NBA Champion Iman Shumpert. It was cool to witness his intense workout regiment up close and personal. Check the commercial below and some behind the scene photos.

Q!

Yesterday I attended the Schoolboy Q Blank Face concert in Royal Oak. It was a last minute decision that I'm glad I made. Had a little trouble getting my camera in the venue because I didn't have a "press pass" but I was able to finesse my way in. Made my way to the front and got to shooting. Schoolboy was full of energy and he performed all my favorite songs. Even Danny Brown came out for one of the songs. Dope concert, glad I was able to capture the moments.

7 Years.

7 years ago I picked up a camera. I knew I wanted to capture everything and I felt that photography/videography was the best way for me to express myself artistically. It's crazy that now I can wake up everyday and pursue my passion and make a living off of it. By no means did it happen overnight and I still have A LOT more work to do and want to accomplish so much more. This past weekend reassured me that I'm heading in the right direction. Appreciate my brother Fred Daniels for capturing this photo of me at work. I am always out the way, in a corner capturing moments. The universe works in your favor if you allow it. IMAGINE. CREATE. EXPOSE.

JERK x JOLLOF

Last the month the guys responsible for the popular Jerk x Jollof events reached out to me wanting to get some photos taken for their website. Jerk x Jollof was started by eight individuals who wanted to provide networking while celebrating African/Caribbean through food, music, and culture. We went downtown for the first half of the shoot to get a urban city vibe. For the second half of the shoot headed over to Eastern Market to take photos in their traditional African/Caribbean wear. Their next event will be held on Sept 4th. Head over to their sit www.jerkxjollof.com to get more information. Check out more photos from our shoot below.

Sticks & Stones: A BLACK WOMAN'S NARRATIVE.

My friend Jewell Bell reached out to me wanting to get some visuals shot for a concept she had in mind for some time now. We discussed how it would be shot, the message that would be portrayed, and how we wanted this art piece to create open dialogue. Check out the visual art piece Sticks & Stones: A Black Woman's Narrative, and feel free to share your thoughts.

PLEXUS.

Been working on a lot of projects and sometimes it's hard to keep up with blogging about them all. This particular project I've been working on for 7 months with Jagermeister and Concept 56 Detroit. The Concept 56 Team but together an awesome event at Bert's Warehouse in Eastern Market. The night was filled with performances, a trippy maze, and of course Jager flowing all night. Check the photos below that I captured. Can't wait until the next event!

CHAMP CAMP.

This is our 3rd year documenting the Shump Camp now renamed as CHAMP CAMP. Always a good time documenting and it was cool to see some of the kids who remembered me from last year and asked if they would have a cameo in this years video lol. Check the video below. GOODHOUSE is undefeated. Congrats to Iman Shumpert and the rest of the Cleveland Cavaliers for winning this years NBA Title.
